Nio Inc's (NYSE: NIO) executive flagship sedan, the ET9, delivered 810 units in April -- its first full month of deliveries, the latest figures show.

The electric vehicle (EV) maker delivered 23,900 vehicles in April, its second highest ever, it announced on May 1, without mentioning the breakdown figures for Nio-branded models.

The ET9's delivery figures for April come from the China Passenger Car Association (CPCA) and are shared by several local automotive media outlets.

The monthly delivery of 810 units is a decent result for the ET9, considering that the model is a one of the highest priced built by a local Chinese automaker.

Launched at Nio Day 2024 on December 21 last year, the ET9 starts at RMB 788,000 ($107,220) including the battery, 2.3 times the RMB 338,000 price tag of Nio's main selling model, the ES6 SUV (sport utility vehicle).

The ET9 uses many of Nio's latest technologies, including its own Shenji NX9031 autonomous driving chip, and the SkyRide chassis.

Deliveries of the ET9 officially began on March 29, with the first owner being Fang Hongbo, or Paul Fang, chairman and CEO of Chinese home appliance giant Midea Group, based in Foshan, Guangdong.

The sedan delivered 89 units in the last three days of March, according to data compiled by CnEVPost.

Nio founder, chairman, and CEO William Li is personally pitching the model to entrepreneurs, and as of now Robin Zeng, founder, chairman, and CEO of (SHE: 300750), He Xiaopeng, chairman and CEO of (NYSE: XPEV), Richard Liu, founder of JD.com, and Holger Klein, CEO of ZF Group, have become ET9 owners or ordered the car.

The ES6 continues to be the highest-delivering Nio-branded model, with 6,866 units delivered in April, contributing 28.73 percent of Nio Inc's monthly deliveries.

The SUV's deliveries in April were up 24.23 percent year-on-year and up 110.61 percent from March.

In January-April, the ES6 delivered 16,016 units, down 0.88 percent year-on-year, contributing 24.27 percent of Nio Inc's deliveries in the same period.

The ET5 Touring, with 6,015 units delivered in April, was the second highest delivered Nio-brand model, contributing 25.17 percent of Nio Inc's monthly deliveries.

Monthly deliveries of this shooting brake-style model were up 35.87 percent year-on-year and up 102.66 percent from March.

In January-April, the ET5 Touring delivered 13,468 units, up 24.47 percent year-on-year, contributing 20.41 percent of Nio Inc's deliveries in the same period.

The EC6 coupe SUV delivered 2,437 units in April, contributing 10.20 percent of Nio Inc's monthly deliveries. Deliveries for the month were up 7.55 percent year-on-year and up 57.63 percent from March.

In January-April, the EC6 delivered 6,763 units, up 4.24 percent year-on-year, contributing 10.25 percent of Nio Inc's deliveries in the same period.

The ET5 delivered 2,015 units in April, contributing 8.43 percent of Nio Inc's monthly deliveries. Monthly deliveries of the sedan were down 11.74 percent year-on-year, but up 52.08 percent from March.

In January-April, the ET5 delivered 5,284 units, down 25.33 percent year-on-year, contributing 8.01 percent of Nio Inc's deliveries in the same period.

The ES8 delivered 539 units in April, contributing 2.26 percent of Nio Inc's monthly deliveries. Monthly deliveries of the SUV were down 30.27 percent year-on-year, but up 4.86 percent from March.

In January-April, the ES8 delivered 1,978 units, a 24.04 percent decrease year-on-year, contributing 3.00 percent of Nio Inc's deliveries in the same period.

The ET7 delivered 422 units in April, contributing 1.77 percent of Nio Inc's monthly deliveries. The sedan's monthly deliveries increased 353.76 percent year-on-year and 21.61 percent from March.

In January-April, the ET7 delivered 1,269 units, up 10.25 percent year-on-year, contributing 1.92 percent of Nio Inc's deliveries in the same period.

The EC7 delivered 164 units in April, contributing 0.69 percent of Nio Inc's monthly deliveries. Monthly deliveries of the coupe SUV were down 19.21 percent year-on-year and down 2.96 percent from March.

Nio began accepting pre-orders for the facelifted ES6, EC6, ET5, and ET5 Touring in China on May 10, with the official launch set for later this month.
