The public can submit their feedback between May 24-30. Entry into the catalog is the last major regulatory process by which a model can be allowed to be sold in China.

The new P7 has three pages in the catalog, with the model numbers NHQ7002BEVEA, NHQ7002BEVEB, and NHQ7002BEVEC.

They are all battery electric vehicle (BEV) models and are all manufactured at Xpeng's plant in Guangzhou, the city where it is headquartered.

The five-seat electric sedan measures 5,017 mm in length, 1,970 mm in width and 1,427 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,008 mm.

The dimensions are similar to Xpeng's other sedan, the P7+, which measures 5,056 mm in length, 1,937 mm in width and 1,512 mm in height and has a wheelbase of 3,000 mm.

The new P7 has a curb weight of 2,125 kg and supports a top speed of 230 km/h.

The new P7 with model numbers NHQ7002BEVEA and NHQ7002BEVEB are single-motor models with a peak motor power of 270 kW.

The one with model number NHQ7002BEVEC is a dual-motor model with an additional front motor that has a peak power of 167 kW.

The new P7 is powered by lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries from Eve Energy, as well as LFP batteries and Li-ion ternary batteries from CALB.

Xpeng announced last week that its new model, internally codenamed E29, is the new P7, with a launch in China expected in July-August.

The new P7 is a replacement for the currently on-sale P7i sedan and would be priced at around RMB 300,000 yuan ($41,760), Xpeng said previously.

The new P7 is a model aimed at the global market, and Xpeng would determine which markets the model would be available in based on demand in different countries and regions.

Built on the same E platform as the G9 SUV (sport utility vehicle), the new P7 will not feature any LiDAR, but will enable assisted driving on city roads and highways, according to the company.

Xpeng's sedans currently on sale are the Mona M03, P7+ and P7i, with the Mona M03 and P7+ being the main sellers.

The P7+ focuses on the family and is more spacious, while the new P7 is more comprehensive and personalized in terms of intelligence and performance, Xpeng previously said.
