- This means that the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra has seen a net increase of around 13,000 units in locked-in orders over the past roughly three months.
- The SU7 Ultra starts at RMB 529,900 ($73,650), which is 2.5 times the price of the regular SU7.

The latest number of locked-in orders for the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra performance sedan has exceeded 23,000 units, far exceeding expectations, the phone maker's president, Lu Weibing, said in an earnings call today.
This means that the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra has seen a net increase of about 13,000 units in locked-in orders over the past roughly three months, CnEVPost's calculations show.
On March 2, Xiaomi founder, chairman and CEO Lei Jun said the number of firm orders for the SU7 Ultra had reached 19,000 units, with more than 10,000 locked-in orders, achieving its full-year target ahead of schedule.
On February 5, Lei said Xiaomi's sales target for the SU7 Ultra in 2025 was 10,000 units.
Xiaomi officially launched the SU7 Ultra on February 27, the company's electric sedan with 1,548 Ps of maximum horsepower based on the regular SU7 sedan.
The model starts at RMB 529,900 ($73,650), which is 2.5 times the RMB 215,900 starting price of the regular SU7.
In the past two months, Xiaomi has been under fire for the SU7 Ultra, including about the front hood holes that doesn't have ventilation and limitations on the model's power output.
In addition to the standard SU7 and SU7 Ultra, Xiaomi gave the YU7 its debut on May 22, its first SUV (sport utility vehicle) model, which will be officially launched in July.
The YU7 pre-launch had been widely welcomed by users and is more popular than the SU7 sedan when it was first unveiled, Lu said on the call today.
The number of reservation inquiries for the YU7 after the technology launch exceeded the SU7's performance during the same period, Lu said, adding that as of May 25, the number of customers who paid deposits to reserve the SUV was about three times higher than that of the SU7 during the same period.
The YU7 has a larger audience than the SU7 and Xiaomi is very confident about the model, he said.
Xiaomi will display the full range of models, including the YU7, at the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area International Auto Show, or the 2025 Shenzhen auto show, which runs from May 31-June 8, it said yesterday.
